Rob Flick
Rob Flick (born March 28, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre. He is currently a free agent. Flick was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 4th round (120th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Flick played three seasons (2008–2011) of major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors where he scored 46 goals and 53 assists in 181 games played. In 2010 and 2011 Flick led the Mississauga team with 157 and 167 penalty minutes, respectively. Flick made his professional debut in the American Hockey League with the Rockford Ice Hogs on October 8, 2011. On April 3, 2013, the Chicago Blackhawks traded Flick to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Maxime Sauvé. He was immediately assigned to the Bruins namesake AHL affiliate in Providence. The centre (or center in the United States) in ice hockey is a forward (hockey), forward position of a player whose primary Hockey rink#Zones, zone of play is the middle of the ice, away from the sideboards. Ontario Hockey League
The Ontario Hockey League (OHL; french: Ligue de hockey de l'Ontario (LHO)) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League. Ravensburg Towerstars
The Ravensburg Towerstars, also known as EV Ravensburg, are a professional ice hockey team based in Ravensburg, Germany, and one of the oldest clubs in the country. They currently play in DEL2, the second level of ice hockey in Germany. Prior to the 2013–14 season they played in the 2nd Bundesliga. They finished the 2011 season first, becoming champions of the 2nd Bundesliga. NHL contracts Two-way contract A two-way contract is a professional sports contract which stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. One-way contract A one-way contract means that the player is paid the same amount of money regardless of whether he plays in the National Hockey League (NHL) or American Hockey League (AHL). Standard player contract AHL/ECHL This is what a player signs to lay out the terms of their playing status and salary. DEL2 (also known as DEL II) is the second tier ice hockey league in Germany, below the '' Deutsche Eishockey Liga'' (DEL) and ahead of the '' Oberliga''. Founded in 2013 to replace the defunct '' 2nd Bundesliga'', DEL2 is administered by ESBG, under licence from DEB. History The DEL2 league was founded on 2 May 2013 by Eishockeyliga Betriebsgesellschaft mbH. The South Carolina Stingrays are a professional minor league ice hockey team based in North Charleston, South Carolina. The Stingrays play in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference. Maxime Sauvé
Maxime Sauvé (born January 30, 1990) is a French-born Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He was selected by the Boston Bruins in the 2nd round (47th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and played one game in the National Hockey League for the Bruins during the 2011–12 season. Early life Sauvé was born in Tours, France, but grew up in Boisbriand, Quebec. As a youth, he played in the 2003 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from the Mille-Îles area of Laval, Quebec. 2011–12 AHL Season
The 2011–12 AHL season was the 76th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 7, 2011, and concluded on April 15, 2012. The 2012 Calder Cup playoffs follows the conclusion of the regular season. Regular season The 2011–12 season will feature scheduling changes in the regular season and post season. The major change will be the elimination of four games and extending the season by a week. The reasoning behind the change is to eliminate teams having to play four games in five nights. This will bring the total number of games for each team to 76. To accomplish that, the league has decided to add an additional week to the season.
