RoadBlasters
''RoadBlasters'' is a combat racing video game released in arcades by Atari Games in 1987. In ''RoadBlasters'', the player must navigate an armed sports car through 50 different rally races, getting to the finish line before running out of fuel. Gameplay The objective is to complete all 50 rallies without running out of fuel. The player's car is equipped with a cannon that can be used to destroy enemy vehicles and roadside gun turrets for extra points. A scoring multiplier is set to 1 at the start of each rally. Each time the player successfully strikes a target, the multiplier increases by one, up to a maximum multiplier of 10. After missing a target, the multiplier drops by 1. A helicopter occasionally flies overhead and drops a power-up item, which the player can pick up; these items have a limited number of uses. Road Blaster
is an interactive movie video game developed by Data East featuring animation by Toei Animation, originally released exclusively in Japan as a laserdisc-based arcade game in 1985. The player assumes the role of a vigilante who must avenge the death of his wife by pursuing the biker gang responsible for her death in a modified sports car. The game would later be ported to a variety of home formats such as the MSX and Sharp X1 ( VHD format), Sega CD (under the title of ''Road Blaster FX''), LaserActive (in Mega-LD format), PlayStation and Sega Saturn (in a compilation with ''Thunder Storm''). The Sega CD and Mega-LD versions were released outside of Japan under titles of ''Road Avenger'' and ''Road Prosecutor'' respectively. ''Midway Arcade Treasures'' is a video-game compilation of 24 arcade games, emulated from the original printed circuit board, PCBs. The overall release was developed by Digital Eclipse and issued by Midway Games for the PlayStation 2, Xbox (console), Xbox, GameCube, and Microsoft Windows. Midway followed up the ''Arcade Treasures'' with successive compilations featuring different games: ''Midway Arcade Treasures 2'' in 2004, ''Midway Arcade Treasures 3'' in 2005, the portable ''Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play'', and the Windows-exclusive ''Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe Edition'' in 2006. Clayton Walnum is a programmer who has written multiple books about programming language, programming in C Sharp (programming language), C#, DirectX and C++. Clayton Walnum started programming computers in 1982, when he traded an IBM Selectric typewriter to buy an Atari 400, Atari 400 computer with 16K of RAM. He was hired as a Technical Editor for Atari 8-bit family, Atari 8-bit computer magazine ANALOG Computing in 1985, eventually becoming Executive Editor before leaving in 1989, the year the publication folded. ''ST Amiga Format'' was a computer magazine that covered the Atari ST and Amiga computers. It was published by Future plc to cover the ever growing market for the, then-new, 16-bit home computers. Issues were equally balanced with coverage for both Amiga and Atari ST systems. Issue 1 included a main feature 'ST or Amiga? The Choice is Yours', where the pros and cons for each machine was examined. ''ST Amiga Format'' often included a floppy disk mounted on the cover, which used a unique dual format filesystem that could be read by both the Amiga and ST.
