Road Rage (video Game)
''Road Rage'' is a 2017 vehicular combat racing video game developed by Team6 Game Studios and published by Maximum Games, released worldwide on November 14, 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title was inspired by the famed ''Road Rash'' series of video games, which feature similar gameplay mechanics. Gameplay ''Road Rage'' is set in the open world, fictitious city of ''Ashen''. Players ride around on a motorcycle and are free to explore the city at their leisure. ''Ashen'' itself is divided into seven districts, ranging from the downtown core to suburban farmland. Gameplay in ''Road Rage'' is composed mostly of standard "circuit" races, time trials, the performing of stunts and assassinations of rival bikers, all of which and more are encountered throughout the campaign. Team6 Game Studios B.V. is a privately-owned Dutch video game developer based in Assen, Netherlands. Founded in 2001 under a different name, the creative team developed several games. However, in 2003, the founders decided to change the name to Team6 Game Studios B.V. The company currently employs over 35 workers and is headed by Director Ronnie Nelis. As of 2021, Team6 has developed over 80 games, some of which feature motorsport licenses such as the National Hot Rod Association and Monster Jam. The studio has been criticized for its generally poor quality of games, such as FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction, which is the 5th worst rated game on Steam, Road Rage, which Metacritic lists as the second-worst game of 2017, and Taxi Chaos, which Metacritic lists as the fourth-worst game of 2021. ''Road Redemption'' is a vehicular combat racing video game developed by New Orleans-based studios EQ-Games and Pixel Dash Studios as a spiritual successor to the '' Road Rash'' series. The game on PC was released on October 4, 2017. Console versions of ''Road Redemption'' were released on November 6, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A mobile version of ''Road Redemption'' were released on September 28, 2022 for Android and iOS. Gameplay The game is a spiritual successor to the ''Road Rash'' series of racing video games.
