The rivière des Fermes (''in English: Ladies River'') is a tributary of the west bank of the Chaudière River which flows northward to empty onto the south bank of the St. Lawrence River. Deschambault-Grondines
Deschambault-Grondines is a municipality of about 2100 inhabitants in the Canadian province of Quebec, located in Portneuf Regional County Municipality. The municipality was incorporated in 2002 by the merger of the formerly independent villages of Deschambault and Grondines. The name Grondines was named by Samuel de Champlain himself. "Grondines" is from the French verb " gronder", meaning to rumble or roar. In 1674, The Grondines windmill was built and is the oldest windmill in Québec. The windmill was first a flour mill, and then a lighthouse. In 1842 the church Saint-Charles-Borromée was built in Grondines. Vallée-Jonction
Vallée-Jonction is a municipality in the La Nouvelle-Beauce Regional County Municipality, Municipalité régionale de comté de la Nouvelle-Beauce in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population is 1,864 as of 2021. In 1881, the Lévis and Kennebec Railway opened a train station between Sainte-Marie, Quebec, Sainte-Marie and Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, Quebec, Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce named Beauce-Jonction. When the Quebec Central Railway bought it in 1882, Beauce-Jonction became one of the most important train stations on the Lévis, Quebec, Lévis-Sherbrooke line. In 1900, the parish of L'Enfant-Jésus was constituted, and part of its territory was detached in 1924 to form a village of the same name, but known locally as Beauce-Junction, after the post office opened in 1883. Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, Quebec
Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce is a city in the Municipalité régionale de comté Beauce-Centre in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population was 5,014 as of the Canada 2021 Census. The new city constitution dates from 1999, when the city of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce and the parish municipality of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce amalgamated. However, the territory was settled as a ''seigneurie'' in 1736 under Pierre de Rigaud de Vaudreuil, which makes it the oldest settlement in Beauce. In 1747, Vaudreuil would exchange it to Joseph de Fleury de La Gorgendière, who would initiate the development of the settlement. Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce is the seat of the judicial district of Beauce. Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce holds an annual Truck drag race event, the ''Accélération de camions à St-Joseph-de-Beauce'' (Big Rig Drag Racing) which established in 2004.
