Riverside Centre, Brisbane
The Riverside Centre is a skyscraper designed by Harry Seidler and located at 123 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Completed in 1986, it contains 40 storeys and rises 146 m above ground. The building is owned by General Property Trust. The base of the building fronts the Brisbane River with a CityCat wharf, has many cafes and restaurants, and is the site for the Riverside markets on Sundays. The Riverwalk, which links the central business district to suburbs both up and down the Brisbane river was built between the water and the public space surrounding the skyscraper. The open plaza and steps at the tower base is a recommended viewing point for the Riverfire celebrations. The building has been heritage listed and formerly held the Brisbane Stock exchange. Riparian Plaza is a 53-storey skyscraper located in the central business district of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The building stands at in height to its communications spire and to its roof. It was Brisbane's tallest building until it was surpassed by Aurora Tower, Aurora in 2006 and is a particularly iconic building on the Brisbane skyline. Josef Albers
Josef Albers (; ; March 19, 1888March 25, 1976) was a German-born artist and educator. One One One Eagle Street is a office building at 111 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, located in the city centre. With 6 star Green Star office design rating, the building is part of the CBD's 'Golden Triangle' district. Its location is the site of the old Indigo House building, which was demolished over a period of six months starting in 2008. 95% of all waste from the old building is to be recycled or reused. Norman Carlberg
Norman K. Carlberg (November 6, 1928 – November 11, 2018) was an American sculptor, photographer, and printmaker. He is noted as an exemplar of the modular constructivist style. Early life and education Carlberg was born in Roseau, Minnesota. He was the son of Gustav Carlberg and his wife Alma Forsberg. He studied at the Minneapolis School of Art and then enlisted in the Air Force. He finished his undergraduate and graduate degree in art at the Yale School of Art under Josef Albers, who was instrumental in his acceptance as a student at Yale and his nomination for a Fulbright Fellowship to teach at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. During his time in Chile, Norman became good friends with Sergio Castillo, and others who spent time in the Barrio Bellavista bohemian quarter of Santiago, such as Manfred Max-Neef.
