Riverdale Baptist
Riverdale Baptist School is a private Christian school located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, serving students from Pre-K to 12. It is located in Prince George's County, Maryland, and is accredited through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International. History Riverdale Baptist School was founded in 1971 as a daughter ministry of Riverdale Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Fitzpatrick. The first year, RBS had an enrollment of 188 students in kindergarten through the sixth grade and was renting facilities from a local Catholic school. With the school growing at a rapid pace, 156 acres on Largo Road in Upper Marlboro, MD was purchased in 1974. Jonquel Jones
Jonquel Orthea Jones (born January 5, 1994) is a Bahamian-Bosnian professional basketball player for the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was drafted with the 6th overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft. Since May 2019, she also holds the citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, allowing her to play for the national team. Zion Johnson (born November 18, 1999) is an American football guard for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Davidson before transferring to Boston College where was named an All-American in 2021. Johnson was drafted by the Chargers in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Olandis C. Gary (born May 18, 1975) is a former American football running back who played for the Denver Broncos from 1999 to 2002 and the Detroit Lions from 2003 to 2004. He is an alumnus of the University of Georgia and Riverdale Baptist School. His best season came in 1999 when, replacing an injured Terrell Davis, he rushed for 1159 yards on 276 attempts, a 4.2 yards per carry average, with seven touchdowns.
