Rising Pune Supergiants In 2016
Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) was a franchise cricket team based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, which played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2016 and 2017. They were one of eight teams that competed in the 2016 Indian Premier League and were captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This was their first season playing in the IPL. 2016 Indian Premier League
The 2016 season of the Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 9, and branded as Vivo IPL 2016 for sponsorship reasons, was the ninth season of the IPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The season began on 9 April 2016, and concluded on 29 May 2016 with the playing of the finals match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The tagline was ''Fun, fans, fantastic.'' The 2016 season was the first IPL season to use LED stumps. Ankit Nagendra Sharma (born 20 April 1991) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Puducherry in domestic cricket. He is a left-handed batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Leg spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A leg spinner bowls right-arm with a wrist spin action.
