Rise And Fall (band)
Rise and Fall was a Belgian hardcore punk band from Ghent, formed 2002 by members of The Deal and Kingpin. They were among a few European bands currently signed to American hardcore label Deathwish Inc. Rise and Fall have been influenced by bands such as Black Flag, Converge, Neurosis, Tragedy and Entombed. History Early career and ''Hellmouth'' (2002–2004) Formed in 2002 in Ghent, Belgium as a side project of members of The Deal and Kingpin, Rise and Fall eventually became the most important band for all four members as these groups disbanded. Following some lineup changes, the band released their first album ''Hellmouth'', in April 2004. The album was released on CD a few months later by JTTP Records in Germany and on vinyl by Belgian label Anger Management Records. The band then set out on a self-booked European tour in August, and supported 100 Demons on their European tour in October. "Rise & Fall" is a song by British singer Craig David. It was written for his second studio album, ''Slicker Than Your Average'' (2002), while production was helmed by duo Soulshock and Karlin. The song, a collaboration with fellow British musician Sting, is based on a sample of the song " Shape of My Heart" from Sting's 1993 album ''Ten Summoner's Tales''. Sixteen contestants divided themselves into the "Rulers" and the "Grafters".
