Riot (Three Days Grace Song)
"Riot" is the fourth and final single from the album ''One-X'' by Three Days Grace. It peaked at number 65 in Canada, and number 12 and 21 on the US Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock charts respectively. To date, this is the band's only single to miss the top ten on the former chart. Despite this, the single was certified Platinum in both Canada and the United States respectively. Background The song is about protesting against the negative things in life and was inspired by vocalist Adam Gontier's anger when he was in rehab for OxyContin addiction. The song was also featured in the video game '' WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007'' along with " Animal I Have Become" as an edited version. It is one of only a few songs by the band to feature profanity. Three Days Grace is a Canadian Rock music, rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1992 originally as "Groundswell" and played in various local Norwood backyard parties and area establishments before disbanding in 1995 and regrouping in 1997. Neil Christopher Sanderson (born December 17, 1978) is the drummer, backing vocalist, and co-founder of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. Barry Stock (born April 24, 1974) is the lead guitarist of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. Biography Stock joined Three Days Grace in 2003, shortly after the band's self-titled debut studio album was released. Stock's addition in Three Days Grace made the band a four-piece. Stock uses Schecter, Ibanez and PRS guitars, but prefers an Ibanez SZ320. He has also been seen using an Ibanez SZ4020FM Prestige. Since the discontinuation of the SZ series in 2008, Stock has started to use other guitars in the Ibanez line such as the ART series and Darkstone series. He uses Marshall Amplification and various effect pedals, mostly by Digitech. On the Live at the Palace DVD he revealed he uses Diezel Vh4 Amplifiers. Backmasking is a recording technique in which a message is recorded backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward.
