Rione Alto (Naples Metro)
Rione Alto is a station on Line 1 of Naples metro, located in the homonymous district. It was opened on 28 May 1993 as part of the inaugural section of Naples Metro, between Vanvitelli and Colli Aminei. The station is located between Montedonzelli and Policlinico. It is part of the circuit of the art stations. The main entrances are in Via Giulio Palermo, accompanied by a lift in Via Pasquale Del Torto, while further exits are in Via Mariano Semmola, Via Domenico Fontana and Via Antonino D’Antona. An exit also connects it to the nearby Pascale Hospital. The Art Stations of Naples Metro consist of 12 stations along Line 1 and Line 6 of the Naples Metro with art installations. In total, there are more than 250 works of art. With the construction and expansion of numerous metro lines the municipality of Naples developed the project ''Stations of Art'' (also known as ''Hundred Stations Plan''), with which it was intended to entrust the planning of metro stops to well-known contemporary artists and architects. Katharina Sieverding
Katharina Sieverding (born 16 November 1944) is a German photographer known for her self-portraiture. Sieverding lives and works in Berlin and Düsseldorf. She is a professor emeritus at the University of the Arts, Berlin. Early life and education Sieverding was born in Prague, in the then Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, to German parents. She grew up in the Ruhr region. She began studying art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 1964. There she started studying stage design alongside Georg Klusemann and Jörg Immendorff under Teo Otto, but later joined the sculpture class taught by Joseph Beuys in 1967. Giuseppe Zevola (born 1952, in Napoli) is a painter, philosopher and poet. He has taught courses on painting at the Academy of Art of Rome and Catania and Perception and Visual Communication at Suor Orsola Benincasa of Naples, the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies. David Tremlett (born 13 February 1945 in St Austell, Cornwall) is an English/Swiss sculptor, installation artist and photographer. He lives and works in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, England. He is married to Laure Genillard who runs an art space in London, they were married in 1987. Biography Tremlett was born in St Austell and came to Sticker, near St Austell, Cornwall at the age of 6 months where he grew up on his parents’ farm. He attended Falmouth College of Art from 1962 to 1963.
