Washing is a method of cleaning, usually with water and soap or detergent. Washing and then rinsing both body and clothing is an essential part of good hygiene and health. Often people use soaps and detergents to assist in the emulsification of oils and dirt particles so they can be washed away. The soap can be applied directly, or with the aid of a washcloth. A dishwasher is a machine that is used to clean dishware, cookware, and cutlery automatically. Vanessa Lee Carlton (born August 16, 1980) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Upon completion of her education at the School of American Ballet, Carlton chose to pursue singing instead, performing in New York City bars and clubs while attending college. Three months after recording a demo with producer Peter Zizzo, she signed with A&M Records. Her debut single, "A Thousand Miles", reached the top five on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 2002. Rinse FM is a London-based community radio station, licensed for "young people living and/or working within the central, east and south London areas".
