Ring The Alarm (album)
''Ring the Alarm'' is the second and final album by Philly's Most Wanted (shortened to Philly's Most), released on June 15, 2004, through Universal Records. By the time this album was released, the duo's partnership with production team The Neptunes, who had produced most of their last album, had ended, and The Neptunes did not produce any songs on ''Ring the Alarm''. Instead, production was handled by various producers. The album was poorly promoted and only reached 70 on the ''Billboard'' Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The album's only single, also titled "Ring the Alarm", did not reach the ''Billboard'' charts. After the album ran its course, Philly's Most Wanted disbanded with no further releases. Philly's Most Wanted
Philly's Most Wanted was an American hip hop duo composed of Al "Boo-Bonic" Holly and Joel "Mr. Man" Witherspoon. The duo broke into the music business as affiliates of production duo, The Neptunes. The duo signed with Atlantic Records in 2000 and issued their first two singles, "Y'all Can't Never Hurt Us" and " Cross the Border" soon after. The latter song peaked at #98 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Rap Singles. Their debut album, '' Get Down or Lay Down'', however, was delayed for over a year, finally being released on August 7, 2001. Despite production from The Neptunes, the album failed commercially, only reaching No. 69 on the ''Billboard'' 200 majorly due to the fact that BET refused to support their video for Cross the Border which contributed to the end of the duo as well. Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs is an American record producer, known for producing the TLC #1 hit " No Scrubs" and various Destiny's Child songs from the album ''The Writing's on the Wall''. Briggs' then girlfriend, former Xscape singer Kandi Burruss, composed the lyrics of TLC's " No Scrubs", Destiny's Child hits "Bills, Bills, Bills" and " Bug a Boo", and Pink's debut single "There You Go" to accompany his productions. ''Get Down or Lay Down'' is the debut album by Philly's Most Wanted, released on August 7, 2001 through Atlantic Records. The majority of the album was produced by The Neptunes. The album featured three charting singles, the most successful of which was "Cross the Border "Cross the Border" was the lead single released from Philly's Most Wanted's debut album, '' Get Down or Lay Down''.
