Rimkai Lake
The Rimkai is a lake in Krakės Eldership, Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania. It is located to the north from Krakės town, next to Jaugiliai village and Jaugiliai Lake, at a place of former Rimkai village. It belongs to the Smilga basin (part of the Nevėžis basin). Kėdainiai District Municipality
Kėdainiai () is one of the oldest cities in Lithuania. It is located north of Kaunas on the banks of the Nevėžis River. First mentioned in the 1372 Livonian Chronicle of Hermann de Wartberge, its population is 23,667. Its old town dates to the 17th century. The city is the administrative centre of the Kėdainiai District Municipality. The geographical centre of the Lithuanian Republic is in the nearby village of Ruoščiai, located in the eldership of Dotnuva. Krakės Eldership
Krakės Eldership ( lt, Krakių seniūnija) is a Lithuanian eldership, located in the northwestern part of Kėdainiai District Municipality. Eldership was created from the Krakės ''selsovet'' in 1993. Krakės
Krakės (formerly ''Krakiai'', pl, Kroki, russian: link=no, Кроки) is a small town in Kėdainiai district, central Lithuania. It is located on the Smilgaitis River. In the town, there are Catholic church of St. Matthew the Evangelist (built in 1907), Mikalojus Katkus gymnasium, library, medicine station, St. Catherine women convent, Krakės Agriculture Cooperative with former culture center, swimming pool and shop (built in 1983, architect K. Smilga (river)
The Smilga is a river in the Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, central Lithuania. It flows for and has a basin area of . It begins near the village of Patranys, in Krakės Eldership. The Smilga river flows mostly in a southeasterly direction through the Josvainiai Forest. It joins the Nevėžis in the centre of Kėdainiai. The valley in upper and middle courses is negligible, though in becomes steep in the lower course. The course at some places is straightened. A reedbed or reed bed is a natural habitat found in floodplains, waterlogged depressions and estuaries. Reedbeds are part of a succession from young reeds colonising open water or wet ground through a gradation of increasingly dry ground.
