It is at the southern end of Broughton Road, on Riley Hill Road and is approximately six miles northeast of Knightdale, and approximately 3.8 miles north of the intersection of U.S. 64/264, and Business U.S. 64. Wake County is located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. In the 2020 census, its population was 1,129,410, making it North Carolina's most-populous county. Knightdale, North Carolina
Knightdale is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2020 census, Knightdale has a population of 19,435. That's up from 11, 401 in 2010 . The U.S. Census Bureau estimates the town's population to be 17,843 as of July 1, 2019. Knightdale's population grew 10.4% from 2010-2013, making it the second fastest-growing community in the Research Triangle region for that time period. Named for Henry Haywood Knight, a local Wake County landowner who donated land to found a railroad depot, the town was incorporated in 1927. By the 1960s, the economic center of town migrated from the area around the rail depot to U.S. Highway 64, which ran north of downtown Knightdale. Since 1990, the community has experienced a significant population boom, getting its own high school in 2004, and a new freeway bypass in 2006. Perry Farm
The Perry Farm is an intact, historic African-American farm complex in Riley Hill, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. The farm house was built in 1820 by John and Nancy Perry, white slaveholders of several slaves during the Antebellum period of the South. After the Civil War ended, a freedman named Feggins Perry made arrangements with his former enslavers to work the land as a tenant farmer. Each night after work, Feggins made baskets and furniture for extra money so he and his brother could buy land, which was the prime goal of many freedmen. Feggins Perry also helped establish the nearby Riley Hill Baptist Church for freedmen. In 1914, Feggins' son Guyon Perry purchased Perry Farm. The property remains in the family to this day.
