Riley Ayre
Riley Ayre (born 2 April 1996) is an Australian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI on 10 October 2015 in the 2015–16 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup. In February 2020, Ayre signed to play domestic cricket in Ireland during the 2020 summer. Denman is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, in Muswellbrook Shire. It is on the Golden Highway in the Upper Hunter Region, about north of Sydney. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The 2021–22 Sheffield Shield season was the 120th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition that was played in Australia. The tournament started in September 2021 ahead of the 2021–22 Ashes series. Queensland were the defending champions. Initially, on 21 July 2021, Cricket Australia confirmed all the fixtures for the tournament. On 8 September 2021, Cricket Australia announced that the previous schedule had been scrapped due to ongoing lockdowns in Sydney and Melbourne and subsequent border restrictions. The 2015–16 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup was the 46th season of the official List A domestic cricket competition in Australia. It was played over a four-week period at the start of the domestic season to separate its schedule before the Sheffield Shield. The tournament was held in Sydney, with most matches broadcast live on free-to-air television on GEM. In the final, New South Wales, who won every round robin game except for one against Victoria, was successful over South Australia, who qualified for the final through a victory in an elimination final against Victoria. Left-arm orthodox spin, Left-arm off spin also known as slow left-arm orthodox spin bowling, is a type of Finger spin, left-arm finger spin bowling (cricket), bowling in the sport of cricket.
