Rikia Magha
Rikia Magha ( ar, رقية ماغى; born 15 October 1993 in Safi) is a Moroccan singer and actress. Career In 2014, she took part in the third edition of the Arab Idol music competition. In 2015, she revealed ''Mayhemmak'' in collaboration with Mahmoud Berhil and Mohamed Noubal, and began a tour in Arab countries. In July 2019, on the occasion of the Throne Day, Rikia Magha released ''Lmaghreb W Jamalo'', in the format of a music video directed by Noubal. Coinciding with the 44th anniversary of the Green March, Rikia Magha released a work titled ''Hadi Sahrati'', with rhythms blending modern music and desert tunes. In her second national song of the genre, Magha collaborated with Mohammed Al-Maghraby on the lyrical level, Mehdi Mozayine on the melodic level and Tariq Al-Hujaili for the casting. Safi, Morocco
Safi or Asfi ( ar, آسفي, ʾāsafī; ber, ⴰⵙⴼⵉ, asfi) is a city in western Morocco on the Atlantic Ocean. It is the capital of Asfi Province. It recorded a population of 308,508 in the 2014 Moroccan census. The city was occupied by the Portuguese Empire from 1488 to 1541, was the center of Morocco's weaving industry, and became a ''fortaleza'' of the Portuguese Crown in 1508. Safi is the main fishing port for the country's sardine industry, and also exports phosphates, textiles and ceramics. Arab Idol (season 3)
The third season of '' Arab Idol'' premiered on 5 September 2014. Auditions were held in Beirut, Bahrain, Kuwait, Algeria, Cairo, Alexandria, Dubai, Morocco, Palestine, Iraq and on the European continent, notably in Paris and Berlin. Throne Day (Morocco)
The Throne Celebration in Morocco is a national occasion celebrated on 30 July of each year, punctuated by several official and popular celebrations, it commemorates the day of the King's accession to the throne. The first celebration was held in 1933 to recognise the accession of Mohammed V of Morocco in 1927. The current King Mohammed VI succeeded his father on 23 July 1999 and officially took the throne on 30 July. On the occasion, several nationwide events are covered on public television, including official activities. Green March
The Green March was a strategic mass demonstration in November 1975, coordinated by the Moroccan government, to force Spain to hand over the disputed, autonomous semi-metropolitan province of Spanish Sahara to Morocco. At that time, the Spanish government was preparing to abandon the territory as part of the decolonization of Africa, just as it had previously granted independence to Equatorial Guinea in 1968. The Sahrawi people aspired to form an independent state. The demonstration of some 350,000 Moroccans advanced several kilometres into the Western Sahara territory. Morocco later gained control over most of the former Spanish Sahara, which it continues to hold.
