Rikard Wolff
Jan Rikard Wolff (8 April 1958 – 17 November 2017) was a Swedish actor and singer. His career included both film roles in ''House of Angels'' and its two sequels and theatre roles such as in '' Waiting for Godot'' at Royal Dramatic Theatre, and ''A Chorus Line'' at The Göteborg Opera. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honour for his work with French music. He had also been awarded a Grammis, and received the Swedish Academy's 2017 prize for theatre, as well as a royal medal for his service as an actor. In Sweden, he was also associated with voice-acting, most notably the Swedish voice for Scar in ''The Lion King''. Life and career Wolff grew up in Gubbängen in Farsta and moved to Karlstad at the age of ten. He started to study acting at Skara skolscen in 1978 and then began his professional career in the theatre group Vågspel in Södertälje. Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller (, short: ; 10 November 17599 May 1805) was a German playwright, poet, and philosopher. Scar is a fictional lion and the main antagonist in Disney's ''The Lion King'' franchise. He was created by screenwriters Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton, and animated by Andreas Deja. Scar is introduced in the first film as the ruthless, power-hungry brother of Mufasa, ruler of the Pride Lands. Carlota Suzanne Osten (born 20 June 1944) is a Swedish film director stage director and screenwriter. She won the award for Best Director at the 22nd Guldbagge Awards for the film ''The Mozart Brothers''. Biography Suzanne Osten was born in Stockholm. She is the daughter of toolmaker Karl Otto Osten (1912–1970) and film critic Gerd Osten (born Ekbom), whose frustrating efforts to direct a film in a male-dominated film industry are the subject matter of her daughter Suzanne’s debut film ''Mamma'' (1982). The National Academy of Mime and Acting (NAMA) ( sv, Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm), was a school in Stockholm for acting and mime. This institution was also known under additional different names in English, including Stockholm University College of Acting and Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. She took her stage name from her grandmother, Varvara Brodsky, a native of Odessa, Russian Empire (now Ukraine).
