Audris Rijo
Audris Rijo (born April 8, 1985) is a Dominican beauty pageant titleholder, professional model, actress, presenter and journalist. She represented her country at Miss Turismo Dominicana, Reinado Internacional del Café, and Nuestra Belleza Latina. In 2013, Rijo became first runner-up of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2013. In 2015 she became the host of entertainment for Telemundo 47 New York. She also was the host of the morning show Acceso Total Nueva York. Career Rijo won the National Title of Miss Dominican Tourism 2009, and also Miss Elegance and Miss Culture. In 2010 Rijo took part in the International Queen of Coffee pageant in Manizales, Colombia, where she won the title of Queen of the Waters and Perfect Face. She also won Queen of the Americas in Guatemala City, Guatemala. José Rijo
José Antonio Rijo Abreu (born May 13, 1965) is a Dominican former pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) who spent the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Reds (1988–1995 and 2001–2002). Originally signed by the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent in 1980, Rijo made his MLB debut with them in 1984, and also played in MLB for the Oakland Athletics. He pitched and batted right-handed, stood tall, and weighed during his playing career. The most notable success of Rijo's career came as a member of the Reds, where each year as a starting pitcher from 1988−1993, he posted an earned run average (ERA) below 3.00. He won a World Series title in 1990 and that event's Most Valuable Player Award (MVP). In 1993, he was the National League (NL) leader in strikeouts and Wins Above Replacement (WAR) at 10.6. Wanda Rijo Contreras (born November 26, 1979) is a female former weightlifter from the Dominican Republic. She twice competed at the Summer Olympics: 2000 and 2004. Washington García Rijo (1921 – 22 September 2010) was a Uruguayan political figure. Background His political base has been in Rocha Department. He formerly served as a senior police officer. He is a member of the Colorado Party (Uruguay). Political career He served for many years as an elected Deputy of the Republic from 1967 to 1972 and from 1985 to 1990, representing Rocha Department. Hiroshima Castle
, sometimes called , is a castle in Hiroshima, Japan that was the residence of the ''daimyō'' (feudal lord) of the Hiroshima Domain. The castle was originally constructed in the 1590s, but was destroyed by the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945. The castle was rebuilt in 1958, a replica of the original that now serves as a museum of Hiroshima's history before World War II. History Mōri Terumoto, one of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's council of Five Elders, built Hiroshima castle between 1589 and 1599. It was located on the delta of the Otagawa river. There was no Hiroshima city or town at the time, and the area was called Gokamura, meaning "five villages".
