Riigikogu Electoral District No. 1
Electoral district no. 1 ( et, Valimisringkond nr 1) is one of the 12 multi-member electoral districts of the Riigikogu, the national legislature of Estonia. The electoral district was established in 1995 following the re-organisation of the electoral districts in Tallinn. It is conterminous with the districts of Haabersti, Kristiine and Põhja-Tallinn in Tallinn. The district currently elects 10 of the 101 members of the Riigikogu using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 parliamentary election it had 85,469 registered electors. Hendrik Johannes Terras
Hendrik Johannes Terras (born 14 June 1993) is an Estonian politician, member of the Members of the 15th Riigikogu, XV Riigikogu. He is a member of the executive board of the Estonia 200, Estonian 200 political party and a former chairman of the party's youth organisation Young Estonia 200. Biography Terras' father is retired military general and Isamaa politician Riho Terras. His mother is a diplomat Kaili Terras. In 2017 Terras graduated from the University of Tartu with a Bachelor's degree, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communication and in 2019 with a Master of Arts in Communication Management. Political career On 9 April 2022 Terras was elected as the new leader of the youth organisation Noor Eesti 200. In the autumn of 2022 he ran for the chairmanship of the Estonian 200 political party, but withdrew his candidacy in favour of Lauri Hussar.
