Their most successful hit was " If I Ever Fall in Love", which reached No. 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. MCA Records
MCA Records was an American record label owned by MCA Inc., which later became part of Universal Music Group. Pre-history MCA Inc., a powerful talent agency and a television production company, entered the recorded music business in 1962 with the purchase of the New York-based US Decca Records (established in 1934), including Coral Records and Brunswick Records. MCA was forced to exit the talent agency business in order to complete the merger. As American Decca owned Universal Pictures, MCA assumed full ownership of Universal and made it into a top film studio, producing several hits. In 1966, MCA formed Uni Records and in 1967, purchased Kapp Records which was placed under Uni Records management. History The early years In 1937, the owner of Decca, E. R. Lewis, chose to split off the UK Decca company from the US company (keeping his US Decca holdings), fearing the financial damage that would arise for UK Companies if the emerging hostilities of Nazi Germany should lead t ...

Blackface (album)
''Blackface'' is a studio album by the R&B group Shai. It was produced by Shai; the group spent nine months working on it. The album peaked at No. 42 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Its first single was "Come with Me". Critical reception '' The Washington Post'' concluded that "when Carl Martin, Darnell Van Rensalier, Garfield Bright and Marc Gay stack their voices in one unexpected chord after another, though, they capture the hope and anxiety of young love like few other acts today." The '' Los Angeles Times'' determined that Shai "saves its best vocals for the album's one a cappella track, 'If I Gave (A Confession of Hope)', a spiritual that is moving in its sheer simplicity." AllMusic noted that "the first half of the disc is devoted to seductive slow numbers, while the second part is dominated by deep bass grooves." Track listing #"Come with Me" – 4:39 #"During the Storm" – 4:38 #"I Don't Wanna Be Alone" – 4:54 #"Mr. Turn U Out" – 4:40 #"Concert a (The Hidden One)" ...

Allmusic
AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". He became interested in using computers for his astrological work in the mid-1970s and founded a software company, Matrix, in 1977. In the early 1990s, as CDs replaced LPs as the dominant format for recorded music, Erlewine purchased what he thought was a CD of early recordings by Little Richard. After buying it he discovered it was a "flaccid latter-day rehash". Frustrated with the labeling, he researched using metadata to create a music guide. In 1990, in Big Rapids, Michigan, he founded ''All Music Guide' ...

Shai (band) Albums
Shai (also spelt Sai, occasionally Shay, and in Greek, Psais) was the deification of the concept of fate in Egyptian mythology. As a concept, with no particular reason for associating one gender over another, Shai was sometimes considered female, rather than the more usual understanding of being male, in which circumstance Shai was referred to as Shait (simply the feminine form of the name). His name reflects his function, as it means ''(that which is) ordained''. As the god of fate, it was said that he determined the span of each man's life, and was present at the judgement of the soul of the deceased in the Duat. In consequence, he was sometimes identified as the husband of Meskhenet, goddess of birth, or, in later years, of Renenutet, who assigned the Ren, and had become considered goddess of fortune. Because of the power associated in the concept, Akhenaten, in introducing monotheism, said that Shai was an attribute of Aten, whereas Ramses II claimed to be ''lord of Sh ...
