Rigby High School
Rigby High School is a four-year public high school in the western United States, located in Rigby, Idaho. Part of the Jefferson County School District 251, the approximate enrollment is 2,000 students in grades 9 to 12, from Rigby and surrounding communities. The school colors of RHS are maroon, white, and gold, and the mascot is a Trojan. History Rigby High School was established in 1912, with the first graduation in 1916. The school was originally located near Rigby City Park. The mascot was originally a Red Devil, and the school colors were red and white. It wasn't until the early 1950s, when a high school located in the smaller, neighboring town of Menan burnt down and its students came to Rigby, that the school was given the mascot of the Trojans. In the sixties and seventies the high school was replaced with a new building located west of down town Rigby, which became Rigby Junior High, but is now an empty lot. Larry Wilson (American Football)
Larry Frank Wilson (March 24, 1938September 17, 2020) was an American professional football player who was a free safety with the St. Louis Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, he played his entire 13-year career with the Cardinals and remained on the team's payroll until 2003, long after the team moved to Arizona in 1988. Vardis Alvero Fisher (March 31, 1895 – July 9, 1968) was an American writer from Idaho who wrote popular historical novels of the Old West. After studying at the University of Utah and the University of Chicago, Fisher taught English at the University of Utah and then at the Washington Square College of New York University until 1931. He worked with the Federal Writers' Project to write the Works Project Administration ''The Idaho Guide'', which was published in 1937. In 1939, Fisher wrote ''Children of God'', a historical novel focused on the early Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The novel won the Harper Prize.
