Ridley Bent
Ridley Bent is the stage name of Brian Fowler, a Canadian country music, country singer-songwriter. Born in City of Halifax, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Bent was raised throughout Canada in a Military of Canada, military family. He formally launched his musical career in 2000 in British Columbia, including performances as an opening act for Great Big Sea and Sam Roberts (singer-songwriter), Sam Roberts. His debut album, ''Blam!'', was released on MapleMusic Recordings in 2005, and was marked by a style that incorporated country, rock and Hip hop music, hip hop influences, in a manner similar to Buck 65.Robert Everett-Green, "Blam: Ridley Bent". ''Rabbit on My Wheel'' is the third studio album by Canadian country-rock artist Ridley Bent. It was released on June 15, 2010, by Open Road Recordings. Although Bent's debut album, ''Blam!'', blended hip hop and country, singles from ''Rabbit on My Wheel'' received regular airplay on mainstream country music, country radio stations. Bent was originally planning to title the album ''Good Lookin' Country'' as a tribute to George Jones. It includes a cover of "She Thinks I Still Care," a song written by Dickey Lee and made famous by Jones in 1962. Bent toured to support the album, opening for Emerson Drive on the Western leg of their Decade and Driving tour. The tour averaged crowds of 500 people per night. Bass Is Base
Bass is Base was a Canadian Contemporary R&B, R&B group based in North York, Ontario. History In 1993, Chin Injeti and Ivana Santilli were in the music group Syndicate 305. At the 1993 Music West conference in Vancouver, Injeti and Santilli met MC Mystic (Roger Mooking), who at the time was in a group called The Maximum Definitive. A few months later, Mystic invited the pair to back him for his group's performance at the iHeartRadio MMVAs, Canadian Music Video Awards. The trio then formed the group Bass is Base that year with Injeti on bass guitar, bass, Santilli on electronic keyboard, keyboards, and Mystic on percussion. The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) was founded in 1976 as the Academy of Country Music Entertainment to organize, promote and develop a Canadian country music industry.
