''Rides'' is an automotive reality TV show produced for the TLC Network in the United States. The show's host is the automobile enthusiast and amateur racer Jason Priestley. Jason Priestley
Jason Bradford Priestley (born August 28, 1969) is a Canadian actor and television director. He is best known as the virtuous Brandon Walsh on the television series ''Beverly Hills, 90210'' (1990–1998, 2000), as Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick in the show ''Call Me Fitz'' (2010–2013) and for his role as Matt Shade in the Canadian series '' Private Eyes'' (2016–2021). Early life Jason Bradford Priestley was born on August 28, 1969, in North Vancouver, British Columbia. His mother, Sharon Kirk, was an actress and acting coach. Chip Foose (born October 13, 1963) is an American automobile designer, artist, and star of Velocity's reality television series ''Overhaulin'''. Life and career Foose began working on automobiles at age seven for his father's company, Project Design, in Santa Barbara, California. Encouraged by Ford and Preston Tucker designer Alex Tremulis, Foose started to attend the Art Center College of Design in 1982; however, he dropped out after two years due to financial difficulties. After working for four years at Clenet Coachworks, Foose returned to the Art Center to complete his education. After graduating in 1990, Foose worked full-time for Sterenberger Design and part-time for Boyd Coddington. Ford Shelby GR-1
The Ford Shelby GR-1 is a high performance concept car developed and manufactured by Ford Motor Company, Ford. It was first introduced to the public at the 2004 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance as a clay model. A fully functional concept was revealed at the North American International Auto Show#2005, 2005 North American International Auto Show. The GR-1 was inspired by and bears resemblance to the Shelby Daytona. Much of the GR-1 chassis and running gear is based on the Ford Shelby Cobra Concept, a modern version of the 1960s original Shelby Cobra, which was presented one year earlier at the 2004 North American International Auto Show. As with the Ford Shelby Cobra Concept, the GR-1 project was led by Manfred Rumpel and developed by Ford's ''Advanced Product Creation'' group. Ford Shelby Cobra Concept
The Ford Shelby Cobra is a concept car that Ford unveiled at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. The Shelby Cobra concept is a roadster inspired by the original AC Cobra that AC Cars developed in 1961. Development and design Ford's Advanced Product Creation team designed and built the Shelby Cobra concept in five months. The project was led by Manfred Rumpel. Like several other Ford vehicles developed in the early 2000s (such as the GT40 concept, the GT and the fifth-generation Mustang), the Shelby Cobra concept is a modern interpretation of an older vehicle. In the case of the Shelby Cobra, the design is reminiscent of the AC Cobra MkI. The first Cobra featured a large, high-performance Ford Windsor engine inside a small roadster that AC Cars had modified at Shelby's request.
