Kevin Ridel
Kevin Ridel is an American musician and songwriter most notable for being the lead singer and primary songwriter of '90s power pop band Ridel High (A&M Records) and 2000s alternative rock band AM Radio (Elektra Records). Early life and influences At age 14, Ridel was playing in bands in Connecticut. In 1989 he moved from Connecticut to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a rock singer and songwriter. Career Bands Ridel's first band was the '80s hair metal band Avant Garde, formed with Rivers Cuomo (who would later form the band Weezer). Ridel was the lead singer. Avant Garde, later renamed Zoom, were active from 1985 to 1989. After Avant Garde ended Ridel moved to Los Angeles where he started the band Lunchbox. Geoffrey Ridel (died 25 November 1120) was a landholder and royal justice during the reign of King Henry I of England. Ridel is mentioned in the 1086 '' Domesday Book'' as holding land in Norfolk, and is probably also the same Geoffrey who held land in Derbyshire in ''Domesday''. Geoffrey Ridel, Duke Of Gaeta
Geoffrey Ridel (or Ridell) ( it, Goffredo Ridello) (died 1084) was the Duke of Gaeta as a vassal of the Prince of Capua from 1067 or 1068. In 1061, he was one of the leaders of the first Norman campaign in Sicily. In 1067, he was appointed duke of Gaeta. He was the first Norman duke since William of Montreuil and the populace did not like him. Electing their own civil government, they expelled Geoffrey, who continued to rule the countryside as duke from his castle at Pontecorvo. Geoffrey was succeeded by his son Reginald. Gualganus Ridel
Gualganus (Italian ''Gualgano''), surnamed Ridel (Latin ''Ridellus'', Italian ''Ridello''), was the third and last Count (or Lord) of Pontecorvo and Duke of Gaeta of the Norman Ridel family from about 1091 until about 1103. He was a son and successor of Duke Raynald Ridel, but his rule in Gaeta was not unopposed. After the death of Prince Jordan I of Capua, the suzerain of Gaeta, the Capuans and Gaetans rose in rebellion. Jordan's successor, Prince Richard II, was forced to abandon Capua for the family stronghold of Aversa, while Duke Raynald of Gaeta had to flee Gaeta for his family's rural stronghold at Pontecorvo. In 1092 or 1093, a man of obscure background, Landulf, was installed as duke in Gaeta. After Raynald's death, Gualganus continued to claim Gaeta from the castle of Pontecorvo until his death, around 1103 or shortly after. He may have retaken control of it at some point.
