"Ride Darkhorse, Ride" is the first single by Canadian power metal band 3 Inches of Blood. It was released on May 5, 2003 by Megarock Records. "Onward to Valhalla '03" and "Tonight we Rejoice '03" are re-recordings of songs from the band's debut EP, ''Sect of the White Worm''. The cover art was illustrated by Martin McKenna and derives from a gamebook entitled ''Legend of the Shadow Warriors'', by Stephen Hand. 3 Inches of Blood was a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 1999 in Victoria, British Columbia, last consisting of Cam Pipes, Justin Hagberg, Shane Clark, and Ash Pearson, none of whom were original members of the band. Their music was strongly influenced by the new wave of British heavy metal movement. Martin McKenna (artist)
Martin McKenna (21 February 1969 – September 2020) was a British artist and illustrator, known for his work in role-playing games, novels, and comics, mainly of horror and fantasy genres. He illustrated many Games Workshop products in the 1980s, and his drawings were a key part of the visual identity of the first edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. When Games Workshop started its Warhammer fiction line in 1990, he provided internal art. He contributed to Fighting Fantasy books, Everway, Magic: The Gathering, video games (including Eidos Interactive, and film and television. Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist). Screaming is an extended vocal technique that is popular in "aggressive" music genres such as heavy metal, punk rock, and noise music and others. It is common in the more extreme subgenres of heavy metal, such as death and black metal as well as many other subgenres. Cam Pipes is a Canadian musician who performed as the lead vocalist and bassist in the heavy metal band 3 Inches of Blood. He performs a falsetto vocal style reminiscent of Udo Dirkschneider and King Diamond. Pipes was the only member of 3 Inches of Blood to have been featured on all of their albums, although he was not a founding member of the band.
