''Ride (Music from the Dimension Motion Picture)'' is the soundtrack to Millicent Shelton's 1998 film ''Ride''. It was released on January 27, 1998 (exactly 2 months before the film's release on March 27, 1998), by Tommy Boy Records and consists of hip hop and R&B music. The album has performances by Adriana Evans, Big Mike, Dave Hollister, Eric Benét, Erick Sermon, Mack 10, Mia X, Naughty by Nature, N.O.R.E., Onyx, Raphael Saadiq, Redman, Somethin' for the People, Tha Eastsidaz, The Roots and Wu-Tang Clan, among others. The album reached number 54 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 13 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States. "The Worst" is a song by American hip hop groups Onyx and Wu-Tang Clan. It was released on December 23, 1997 by Tommy Boy as a single from Tommy Boy Records's ''Ride'' and as the first single from Onyx's third album, '' Shut 'Em Down''. Onyx is represented by Fredro Starr, Sonny Seeza and Sticky Fingaz, as well as affiliate X1. Wu-Tang Clan is represented by Method Man, Raekwon, as well as affiliate Killa Sin. Redman (rapper)
Reginald Noble (born April 17, 1970), better known by his stage name Redman, is an American rapper, DJ, record producer, and actor. He rose to fame in the early 1990s as an artist on the Def Jam label. He is well known for his collaborations with his close friend Method Man, as one-half of the rap duo Method Man & Redman, including their starring roles in films and sitcoms. He was also a member of the Def Squad in the late 1990s. Onyx is an American hardcore hip hop group from South Jamaica, Queens, New York City, formed in 1988 by Fredro Starr, Suavé (also known as Sonny Seeza) and the late Big DS. Sticky Fingaz joined the group in 1991. They are best known for their 1993 platinum hit single "Slam", which ''The Source'' magazine described as a song that introduce the art of slam dancing into hip-hop. Mia Young (born January 9, 1970), better known by her stage name Mia X, is an American rapper and songwriter. She was the first female emcee to get a contract with rapper and entertainment magnate, Master P on his successful record label No Limit Records. Dedrick D'Mon Rolison (born August 9, 1971), better known by his stage name Mack 10, is an American rapper. He has sold nearly 11 million records combining his solo and group works. Mack 10 made his first appearance on Ice Cube's 1994 " Bootlegs & B-Sides" compilation on the remixed track "What Can I Do?" and was a member of hip hop supergroup Westside Connection along with WC and Ice Cube. Erick Sermon (born November 25, 1968) is an American rapper, musician, and record producer. He is best known as one-third—alongside PMD & DJ Scratch—of 1980s/1990s hip hop group EPMD and for his production work. Career Sermon started professionally in 1986 as a producer and artist of the hip hop group EPMD. He began recording solo albums for Def Jam in 1993; in 1997, he rejoined EPMD. The following year, Sermon, Murray and Redman recorded a cover version of "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang. EPMD disbanded a second time in 1999. In 2000, Sermon moved over to J Records, and released the album ''Music'' the following year.
