Ride (Ace Hood Song)
"Ride" (originally called "Ride or Die") is the second single from Ace Hood's debut album ''Gutta''. It features Trey Songz, and is produced by The Inkredibles. T-Pain wrote the chorus. The video was shot on August 1, 2008. The song was originally titled "Ride or Die", until Def Jam renamed it "Ride" because it was more radio-friendly. Music video DJ Khaled, Johnny Dang, Rick Ross, and Torch & Gunplay from Triple C's make a cameo appearance. This is the first video in which Trey Songz shows his new look. The music video features Ace Hood having a good time with his girlfriend until she gets arrested for covering for him. The song's music video also debuted at #9 on BET's 106 & Park. Antoine Franklin McColister (born May 11, 1988), better known by his stage name Ace Hood, is an American rapper. He was born in Port St. Lucie, Florida and raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was signed to record producer DJ Khaled's label We the Best Music Group in 2008, in a joint-venture with Def Jam Recordings. He has released four studio albums with his most successful of which being ''Blood, Sweat & Tears'' (2011) and '' Trials & Tribulations'' (2013). The albums contained his highest-charting singles, "Hustle Hard" and "Bugatti" (featuring Future and Rick Ross), respectively. Triple C's, also known as Carol City Cartel, is an American hip hop group founded by Rick Ross in 2005. The group takes its name from the Carol City neighborhood of Miami Gardens, and consists of Gunplay from Miami, Torch from the Bronx, New York, and Young Breed.
