Ricky Little
Ricky Little (born 20 May 1989) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Arbroath in the Scottish Championship. Career Little began his youth career on the books of the Ayr United youth squad and Ardrossan Winton Rovers, and he captained Scotland schoolboys under-18s in season 2006–07. When he moved into the senior game, he featured on the subs bench for the Partick Thistle first team several times to cover for injury under Ian McCall. Little was sent on a month's loan to Queen's Park on 17 September 2008, as he was too old to play for the Firhill side's under 19 side. Little joined up with Queen's Park again on loan for two months in November 2009. Following his release from the Jags in Jan 2010, he rejoined Queen's Park permanently until the end of the season. Stevenston
Stevenston ( sco, Steenstoun, gd, Baile Steaphain) is a town and parish in North Ayrshire, Scotland. Along with Ardrossan and Saltcoats it is one of the "Three Towns", all of similar size, on the Firth of Clyde coast; the easternmost parts of Stevenston are about from western parts of Kilwinning, with the A78 trunk road running between the settlements (this is a 2004 bypass, with traffic between Irvine, Largs and Greenock previously directed through the centre of the three towns). History The town is named after Stephan Loccard or Lockhart, whose father obtained a grant of land from Richard de Morville, Lord of Cunninghame and Constable of Scotland, around 1170. PFA Scotland Team Of The Year
The Professional Footballers' Association Scotland Team of the Year (often called the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, or simply the Team of the Year) is an annual award given to a set of 44 footballers in the four national tiers of the Scottish football league system, who are seen to be deserving of being named in a "Team of the Year". The award is compiled by the members of the players' trade union, Professional Footballers' Association Scotland (PFA Scotland), with the winners then being voted for by the other players in their respective divisions. The award was instituted in the 2006–07 season. In that first season, the award was voted for by the managers in each division. The 2009–10 Scottish Football League Third Division (also known as the 2009–10 Irn-Bru Scottish Football League Third Division for sponsorship reasons) was the 15th season in the format of ten teams in the fourth-tier of Scottish football. Scottish Football League Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. A fourth tier, known as the Third Division, was created in 1994. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the SFL to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). Scottish League Cup
The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Rangers are the record holders of the cup, winning 27 times. Celtic are the holders, winning their 20th title after beating Hibernian 2–1 at Hampden Park on 19 December 2021. The 2018–19 Scottish League One (known as the Ladbrokes League One for sponsorship reasons) was the 24th season in the current format of 10 teams in the third-tier of Scottish football. The fixtures were published on 15 June 2018 and the season began on 4 August 2018. Ten teams contested the league: Airdrieonians, Arbroath, Brechin City, Dumbarton, East Fife, Forfar Athletic, Montrose, Raith Rovers, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer. Arbroath won the league following a 1–1 draw at Brechin City on 13 April 2019. Brechin were relegated after a 1–1 draw with Stenhousemuir on the final day.
