Rickenbacker 325
The Rickenbacker 325 is the first of the Capri series of hollow body guitars released in 1958 by Rickenbacker. Overview It was designed by Roger Rossmeisl, a guitar craftsman from a family of German instrument makers. Production models were short scale, dot fretboard inlays, and a small () body. The body is unbound, semi-hollow, with 2 o'clock angled sound hole (although re-issues lack a sound hole due to the Lennon connection), and boasts the "crescent moon"-style cutaways. This series is currently available only in "C" reissue form. These instruments gained prominence due to Lennon's use of a 325 during the early years of The Beatles. Lennon's 1958 model was among the first batch made and has the pre-production feature of a solid top with no sound hole. John Cameron Fogerty (born May 28, 1945) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. Together with Doug Clifford, Stu Cook, and his brother Tom Fogerty Thomas Richard Fogerty (November 9, 1941 – September 6, 1990) was an American musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival. Rickenbacker 400 Series
The Rickenbacker 400-Series was a line of lower cost solid body electric guitars that Rickenbacker introduced in 1956. 'Combo 400-450 Series: 1956-1957 The 400 series initially consisted of the single pickup Combo 400 model introduced in 1956, which had distinctive Tulip style cutaways and the pickup at the neck position. In 1957 Rickenbacker unveiled a 2-pickup variant of the Combo 400 named the Combo 450. While the Combo 400 continued to come equipped with a DeArmond pickup, the Combo 450 marked the debut of the famed "toaster" pickup design. In 1958, Rickenbacker 400-series production waned. The Combo 400 appears to have been phased out entirely before the end of 1957. Jean-Baptiste Frédéric Isidor, Baron Thielemans (29 April 1922 – 22 August 2016), known professionally as Toots Thielemans, was a Belgian jazz musician. Susanna Hoffs
Susanna Lee Hoffs (born January 17, 1959) is an American singer and guitarist, best known as a co-founder of the pop-rock band The Bangles. Hoffs founded The Bangles (originally called the Bangs) in 1981 with Debbi and Vicki Peterson. They released their first full length album '' All Over the Place'' on Columbia Records in 1984. Hoffs started a solo career after The Bangles disbanded in 1989. She released her first solo album, '' When You're a Boy'', in 1991.
