Rick Shelley (January 1, 1947 – January 27, 2001) was an American writer of primarily military science fiction. He was born in Kankakee, Illinois. Kankakee is a city in and the county seat of Kankakee County, Illinois, United States. As of 2020, the city's population was 24,052.
