Rick Michaels (born September 8, 1974) is a retired American professional wrestler. Professional wrestling career Extreme Championship Wrestling (1992–1993) Michaels debuted for Extreme Championship Wrestling on June 23, 1992, under the gimmick of "Super Ninja" and lost to Hurricane Curry. Throughout late 1992 and early 1993, Michaels would team up with various partners such as the Canadian Wolfman, Bay Ragni and The Samoan Warrior to take on the ECW Tag Team Champions. His last match in ECW, Michaels would lose to Tommy Cairo. Pro Wrestling Federation (1993–1999) On March 19, 1993, Michaels would debut for Pro Wrestling Federation, still using the Super Ninja gimmick but now called Super Ninja #1, and lost to Super Mario in his first match. The NWA Wildside United States Heavyweight Championship was a title contested for in the National Wrestling Alliance-member promotion NWA Wildside. The title was originally the NCW United States Heavyweight Championship from 1995 through 1999, when National Championship Wrestling became NWA Wildside. The championship lasted through November 2000 when it was unified with the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. The Deep South Heavyweight Championship was the primary championship in Deep South Wrestling, a former developmental territory of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) between 2005 and 2007. When the title was first introduced, it was awarded to Tommy Rich, who won a tournament to determine the inaugural champion. The final champion of its first run was The Assassin, who vacated the title due to injury and folded the promotion in October 1988. In 2005, after seventeen years of inactivity, Deep South Wrestling was revived as a developmental territory for WWE and revived the championship. Deep South Wrestling (DSW) is a professional wrestling promotion in the state of Georgia. Deep South worked in tandem with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as a developmental territory from September 1, 2005, until April 18, 2007. Deep South was owned by Jody Hamilton, former director of the WCW Power Plant. First run (1986–1988) Jody Hamilton and Bill Behrens founded Deep South Wrestling in 1986 as a wrestling promotion and training facility, setting their base of operations in Lovejoy, Georgia. They had ties with both the American Wrestling Association and the National Wrestling Alliance. The NWA World Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling world tag team championship created by the National Wrestling Alliance. From 1948 to 1982, the NWA allowed member promotions to create their own territorial version of the "NWA World Tag Team Championship" without oversight from the board of directors. The first of these NWA World Tag Team Championships was created in 1950 in the San Francisco territory, which while billed as a "World" title was essentially restricted to the specific NWA territory. In 1957 as many as 13 versions of the NWA World Tag Team Championship were confirmed to be in existence. NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship
The NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship was the top tag team championship in Georgia Championship Wrestling from 1968 to 1980, when it was replaced with the NWA National Tag Team Championship. The title was revived in 1998 by Music City Wrestling as the MCW/NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship. In 1999, it became the top tag team title in NWA Georgia/Wildside as the NWA Wildside Tag Team Championship, until April 2005, when Wildside closed.
