Rick Hooijboer
Rick Hooijboer (born 3 August 1974 in Venhuizen) is a Dutch footballer currently playing for Cambuur Leeuwarden. Career Amateur career: until 1998 Hooijboer started out playing for local team ''De Valken''. He was discovered by FC Volendam and played there for several years. He returned to his former home town club and before moving to ''Hollandia'' in Hoorn two years later. He did very well for the Hoofdklasse club. AZ Alkmaar noticed the 23-year-old West Frisian who at that point became a full pro. He was the first player AZ Alkmaar recruited for Eredivisie season 1998–99. Even though the AZ staff appeared to want him badly, the defender/midfielder was not given a chance to show his skills. Venhuizen
Venhuizen (; fy, Fenhúze) is a town in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia, in the municipality of Drechterland. Venhuizen was a separate municipality until 1 January 2006, when it was merged with the existing municipality of Drechterland. It was decided to call the new municipality Drechterland. ''Voetbal International'' (VI) is a Dutch football magazine. It is the oldest Dutch football magazine that is still running. History and Profile ''Voetbal International'' was established in 1965. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason.
