Rick Fraser (chuckwagon Racer)
Rick Fraser (born October 28, 1959) is a Canadian professional chuckwagon racer. He is a two-time World Champion Chuckwagon Driver, a six-time Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Outrider, and has won 20 show titles in 21 years of competing on the WPCA Pro Tour. Career Fraser grew up in Grande Prairie, Alberta, the son of Joan (née Dorchester) and step-son to former World and Calgary Stampede Champion Chuckwagon Driver Dave Lewis. He started his chuckwagon racing career as an outrider when he was 16 in 1976, and began driving when he was 22 in 1982 on the World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) circuit. Driving his step-father's outfit, Rick became the first rookie to win a show on the WPCA Pro Tour when he captured the Strathmore Heritage Days in 1982. Richard Fraser (July 11, 1954 – November 16, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the World Hockey Association (WHA). Career Drafted in the tenth round of the 1974 NHL amateur draft by the Chicago Black Hawks, Fraser opted to play in the WHA after being selected by the Indianapolis Racers in the seventeenth round of the 1974 WHA Amateur Draft. His participation saw him playing four games for the Racers during the 1974–75 WHA season. He was the younger brother of former National Hockey League referee Kerry Fraser Kerry Fraser (born May 30, 1952) is a hockey analyst, broadcaster and former senior referee in the National Hockey League. During his career, he called 1,904 regular season games, 12 Stanley Cup Finals, and over 261 Stanley Cup playoff games. ....
