Richie Doyle
Richard "Richie" Doyle (born 28 July 1991) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a substitute wing-back for the Kilkenny senior team. Doyle made his first appearance for the team during the 2011 National League, however, he remained as a substitute for the subsequent championship. In his debut season he won an All-Ireland winner's medals and a Leinster Leinster ( ; ga, Laighin or ) is one of the provinces of Ireland, situated in the southeast and east of Ireland. The ''Barrow Rangers GAA'' ( ga, Raonaithe Bhearbhaithe) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Kilkenny, Ireland. It was founded in 1906 and is affiliated to Kilkenny GAA. The club is based in the areas of Paulstown and Gorebridge, in the east of the county. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling, but has some history in football. In hurling, it competes in the Kilkenny Junior Hurling Championship. Barrow Rangers have won the Kilkenny Junior Hurling Championship three times in 1982, 1988 and 1990. Goresbridge () is a small village located in the east of County Kilkenny, in the province of Leinster, Ireland. Goresbridge is named after a 1756 bridge, built by Colonel Ralph Gore, which provides a crossing of the River Barrow between County Kilkenny and County Carlow in the South-East region. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. The objective of the game is for players to use an ash wood stick called a hurley (in Irish a ', pronounced or ) to hit a small ball called a ' between the opponent's goalposts either over the crossbar for one point or under the crossbar into a net guarded by a goalkeeper for three points. The 2011 National Hurling League (known as the Allianz Hurling League for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th season of the National Hurling League. Ticket prices In January 2011, the GAA announced a reduction in ticket prices for the 2011 National Hurling League. The decision to cut prices was announced at a Central Council meeting and will see the cost of admission to a league game in the first division of the NHL dropping from €15 to €13, with a €5 admission to lower-level hurling games.
