Richarno Colin
Louis Richarno Colin (born 17 July 1987 in Vacoas-Phoenix, Mauritius) is a Mauritian boxer best known to be All Africa champ 2011. He qualified for the 2008 Olympics at junior welterweight at the 2nd AIBA African 2008 Olympic Qualifying Tournament. At Beijing he upset Myke Carvalho but was defeated by Gennady Kovalev from Russia in the round of 16.(Results) He has competed in the 2010 Commonwealth Games under the name of Louis Colin. He was the flag carrier for Mauritius in the opening ceremony. He won bronze in the Light Welterweight category in Boxing. At the 2012 African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament he also qualified for the 2012 London Olympics. At London he beat Abdelhak Aatakni in the first round before losing to Uranchimegiin Mönkh-Erdene in the second round. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's lightweight event. Vacoas-Phoenix () also known as French: ''Villes Jumelles'' (Twin Cities), is a town in Mauritius, located in the Plaines Wilhems District, the eastern part also lies in the Moka District. Gennady Gennadiyevich Kovalev (russian: Геннадий Геннадиевич Ковалёв; born 17 May 1983 in Kropotkin, Krasnodar Krai) is a boxer from Russia. Career Southpaw Kovalev won the silver medal at the 2003 World Amateur Boxing Championships defeating Bahodirjon Sooltonov but losing to Aghasi Mammadov at bantam, and a gold medal at the 2004 European Amateur Boxing Championships . He participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics for his native country. There he was beaten in the quarterfinals of the Bantamweight (54 kg) division by Cuba's eventual winner Guillermo Rigondeaux. Now at junior welterweight he won the Russian Championships 2007 against legend Alexander Maletin 37:21. Marie Hanitra Roilya Ranaivosoa (born 14 November 1990), commonly known as Roilya Ranaivosoa, is a Mauritian weightlifter of Malagasy descent, competing in the 48 kg category and representing Mauritius at international competitions. Kate Jessica Kim Lee Foo Kune (born 29 March 1993) is a badminton player from Mauritius. She began playing badminton in Mauritius at age six. Her first major tournament participation was 2013 BWF World Championships in China, where she lost in the first round of women's singles to Sarah Walker of England. Foo Kune represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was the flag bearer for Mauritius during the Parade of Nations. As an amateur he won a silver medal in the light welterweight division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, gold at the 2009 EU Championships and bronze at the 2007 World Championships.
