Richard West (footballer)
Richard West (born 19 July 1985) is a Jamaican footballer. Playing career West began playing in the KSAFA Super League with Santos F.C. in 2003. In 2004, he played in the country's top flight league the National Premier League with Waterhouse F.C., and won a JFF Champions Cup. The following season he signed with rivals Harbour View F.C. In 2006, he signed with Tivoli Gardens F.C. and during his tenure with the club he won the National Premier League in 2009, and the JFF Champions Cup in 2006. In 2011, he went overseas to Canada to sign with Brampton City United FC of the Canadian Soccer League. In his debut season he finished as the club's top goalscorer and the second highest goalscorer within the league with 17 goals. He helped the club secure a postseason berth by finishing fourth in the overall standings. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. SC Toronto was a Canadian soccer team, founded in 1994. The team was a member of the Canadian Soccer League, and played its final home games at Lamport Stadium in the city of Toronto, Ontario. The club found success early on since its inception as the Toronto Supra in the Canadian National Soccer League, making the postseason in 1996, and the championship finals in 1997. The Canadian Soccer League championship final or CSL Championship is the post-season match of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) and is the successor to the CNSL Championship. The winner is crowned champion in the same manner as in other North American sports leagues (i.e. via a playoff following a regular season). This differs from other top soccer leagues around the world which consider the club with the most points at the end of the season to be the sole champion. The Saint Martin football team is the football team of the Collectivity of Saint Martin, the French half of the island of Saint Martin which was previously part of the French overseas department of Guadeloupe (not to be confused with the team of the Dutch half, the Sint Maarten national football team) and is controlled by the Comité de Football des Îles du Nord. League1 Ontario (L1O) is a semi-professional men's soccer league in Ontario, Canada. The league began play in 2014 and is sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the Ontario Soccer Association as a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. As of the 2022 season, L1O includes 22 teams. Beginning in 2024, the league will become a three-tier league featuring promotion and relegation.
