Richard Townsend Herbert
Richard Townsend Herbert (1755 – 18 December 1832) was an Irish politician. Herbert served in the Irish House of Commons as the Member of Parliament for County Kerry between 1783 and 1790. Irish House Of Commons
The Irish House of Commons was the lower house of the Parliament of Ireland that existed from 1297 until 1800. The upper house was the House of Lords. The membership of the House of Commons was directly elected, but on a highly restrictive franchise, similar to the unreformed House of Commons in contemporary England and Great Britain. Catholics were disqualified from sitting in the Irish parliament from 1691, even though they comprised the vast majority of the Irish population. The Irish executive, known as the Dublin Castle administration, under the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, was not answerable to the House of Commons but to the British government. However, the Chief Secretary for Ireland was usually a member of the Irish parliament. In the Commons, business was presided over by the Speaker. Sir John Tydd, 1st Baronet
Sir John Tydd, 1st Baronet, of Lamberton, Queen's County (born c.1740, died December 1803) was an Irish politician, landowner and baronet.Cokayne Vol.5 p.435 He was the eldest son of French Tydd of County Laois and his wife Elizabeth Moore, daughter of Pierce Moore of Loran and Cremorgan, near Timahoe in the same county. Both families were long-established landowners. Arthur Moore MP (1765-1846), Serjeant-at-law (Ireland) and judge of the Court of Common Pleas (Ireland), was his cousin and heir. Tydd was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, where he took his degree in 1764. He was called to the Bar in 1772, but did not practice. He travelled on the Continent as a young man, then entered politics: Henry Grattan was a friend and political ally of Tydd, as was Sir John Parnell, 2nd Baronet. George Lyttelton, 2nd Baron Lyttelton
George Fulke Lyttelton, 2nd Baron Lyttelton (27 October 1763 – 12 November 1828) was an Anglo-Irish peer and politician from the Lyttelton family. He was the eldest son of William Lyttelton, 1st Baron Lyttelton and his first wife Martha Macartney. Between 1798 and 1800, Lyttelton represented Granard in the Irish House of Commons. He succeeded his father as member of parliament for Bewdley in 1790; and to his title and his estates in Hagley, Halesowen, and Frankley in 1808. He died unmarried and was succeeded by his half-brother William Henry Lyttelton, 3rd Baron Lyttelton. John Francis Cradock
General John Francis Cradock, 1st Baron Howden (11 August 175926 July 1839) was a British peer, politician and soldier. Life He was son of John Cradock, Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin. In 1775 he was admitted to St John's College, Cambridge. In 1777, he was appointed a cornet in the 4th Regiment of Horse, which in 1779 he exchanged to become an ensign in the Coldstream Guards, and in 1781 he was promoted a lieutenant with the rank of captain. In 1785 he purchased a commission as a major in the 12th Dragoons, exchanging this in 1786 for a post in the 13th Foot, where he was appointed lieutenant-colonel in 1789. He commanded the 13th in the West Indies in 1790, and served a second time in the West Indies commanding a battalion of grenadiers in 1793, where he was wounded at the reduction of Martinique and appointed the aide-de-camp of Sir Charles Grey, receiving the thanks of Parliament for his services.
