Richard Stakelum
Richard Stakelum (born 1963 in Borrisoleigh, County Tipperary, Ireland) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He is the current manager of the Dublin under-21 hurling team. Stakelum enjoyed a successful playing career at club level with Borris–Ileigh and at inter-county level with Tipperary. He was a member of the latter team in the late 1980s and captained them to a first Munster title in sixteen years in 1987. Stakelum also captured All-Ireland, Munster and county honours at club level. In retirement from playing Stakelum became involved in team management. At club level he brought the Kilmacud Crokes minor hurling team to championship victory in 2007. He has been a selector under the management of Anthony Daly on the Dublin senior hurling team since 2008. Stakelum was appointed manager of the Dublin under-21 hurling team in 2009. Borris–Ileigh Gaelic Athletic Club () is a Gaelic games club that is based in the village of Borrisoleigh, County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary County Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1887 for the top hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. The prize for the winning team is the Dan Breen Cup. Initially played as a knock-out competition on a divisional basis, the championship currently features a group stage followed by a knock-out stage. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Munster GAA Hurling Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the J. J. Rathnure St Anne's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathnure, County Wexford, Ireland. Rathnure's most famous players are the Rackards and Quigley brothers. First AGM At a meeting in Rathnure in the year 1931, Rathnure St Anne's GAA Club was founded. Founder members on that night were Pat Byrne, James O'Leary, Pat Doyle, Thomas Murphy, Nick Mernagh, Denis Brennan and Master O'Rielly.
