Ricky Sanders
Ricky Wayne Sanders (born August 30, 1962) is a former American football wide receiver who played professionally for 12 seasons from 1983 to 1994, two with the United States Football League's Houston Gamblers and ten in the National Football League (eight seasons with the Washington Redskins and two with the Atlanta Falcons). He played running back, safety, and place kicker (on kickoffs) as a three-year letterman for Belton High School in Belton, Texas and broke five records. Football career Sanders was a three-sport star at Belton High School. He made all-region in basketball, placed in three events in the state track meet, and won accolades as a running back. Although recruited by numerous major colleges—including Michigan, UCLA, and Texas Tech, among many others—his junior year, he did not attend any of them. Ricky Sanders (racing Driver)
Ricky Sanders (born July 30, 1966) is an American former stock car racing driver. He raced part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series from 2000 to 2003. Racing career Busch Series Sanders only ran one career NASCAR Busch Series race. It came in 2001, when Jimmy Means allowed Sanders to pilot his #52 in a start-and-park deal. Sanders started 39th, but parked six laps into the race. He finished 41st. Craftsman Truck Series Sanders made his Truck debut in 2000, driving for Walsh Racing. He made his first start in the #9 Walsh Ford at Texas, where he started 32nd and wound up 30th. He also added on a 22nd at Kentucky before moving onto the #27 Hastings Filters Ford for three more starts. After finishes of 26th and 31st, Sanders set his season best finish of 16th in his return to Texas. It would wind up being his best career finish. Rick Sanders (wrestler)
Richard Joseph "Rick" Sanders (January 20, 1945 – October 18, 1972) was an American Collegiate wrestling, folkstyle and Freestyle wrestling, freestyle wrestler. He won gold medals at the 1967 Pan American Games and 1969 World Championships, finishing second at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and 1967 World Championships. After the 1972 Olympics, while traveling to Greece, he was killed in a car accident in Skopje, Yugoslavia. In 1987, Sanders was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member. Richard Kinard Sanders (born August 23, 1940) is a retired American actor and screenwriter. He played quirky news anchorman Les Nessman on the CBS sitcom ''WKRP in Cincinnati'' (1978–1982). Early life and education Sanders was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Thelma S. and Henry Irvine Sanders. After graduating from Leavenworth High School in Leavenworth, Kansas, he was enrolled in the Fine Arts Department at Carnegie Institute of Technology (now known as Carnegie Mellon University) as an acting major.
