Richard Petiot
Richard Allan Petiot (born August 20, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round (116th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career The Los Angeles Kings drafted Petiot in 2001 from the Camrose Kodiaks of the AJHL. He then played four years of collegiate hockey with Colorado College. Petiot signed a two-year contract with the Kings after his senior year with the Tigers on August 11, 2005. Petiot made his professional debut in the 2005–06 season, playing mostly with Kings affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs. Petiot spent the next two injury-plagued seasons with the Monarchs before signing as a free agent for the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 15, 2008. Defenceman
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). The 2008–09 NHL season was the 92nd season of operation (91st season of play) of the National Hockey League (NHL). Theo Peckham
Theo "Teddy" Peckham (born November 10, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently signed with the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks of the WOAA. He is the half-brother of Angela James, one of the first female hockey players to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Their father, Leo James, was an African American from Mississippi who came to Canada to escape racial segregation. Playing career Peckham was drafted 75th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He made his NHL debut for the Oilers on March 7, 2008 against the Columbus Blue Jackets in what would be his only appearance of that NHL season. Oklahoma City Barons
The Oklahoma City Barons were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). The team's first season was 2010–11 AHL season, 2010–11. They played their home games at the Cox Convention Center, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. History On February 9, 2010, the American Hockey League Board of Governors approved of the relocation of the Oilers' inactive AHL franchise to Oklahoma City, after a five-year dormancy. Jamie Heward
James Heward (born March 30, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman, who currently serves as an associate coach for the Henderson Silver Knights. Playing career Heward was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round, 16th overall, of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. After several seasons in the Penguins organization without getting called up to the NHL, Heward became an unrestricted free agent and spent the 1994–95 season with the Canadian National Team scoring 5 assists in 8 games at the 1995 World Championships. After the World Championships ended, Heward signed a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on May 4, 1995.
