Richard Osborn
Richard Osborn was the 20th President of Pacific Union College. He took office in 2001, serving until he resigned in 2009. Previously, he also served as President of the Council for American Private Education, a coalition representing 80% of private schools in the United States. Osborn is the former principal of Takoma Academy and former Education director of Columbia Union Conference. Osborn is the founder of the Association of Adventist Colleges and Universities. He is the former Vice-President for Education for the North American Division. Osborn is the current chairman of the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities, a voice for private higher education in California. Malcolm Maxwell
Donald Malcolm Maxwell (b 1934, Watford, England - d 2007, Scottsdale, Arizona) was the 19th President of Pacific Union College. Education Maxwell graduated from Pacific Union College in 1956 with degrees in theology and biblical languages. He went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree at Andrews University in systematic theology. After completing his Master of Arts, he pursued a doctorate in biblical studies specializing in the New Testament at New Jersey's Drew University. While there, he was named a Rockefeller Fellow and Drew University Scholar. Personal life The youngest of four sons of Arthur S. Maxwell, of Uncle Arthur fame, Maxwell met his wife, Eileen, in 1955 while still a student at Pacific Union College. They were married for 52 years until her death in April 2007. Heather Knight (educator)
Heather Joy Knight is an American educator and former President of Pacific Union College. She is the first woman to serve in that role and the only African-American woman to lead a college affiliated with the Adventist Church in the North America. Born in Jamaica, her family moved to the United States when she was nine. After completing her undergraduate degree at Oakwood College, she did her graduate work at Loma Linda University. She received her doctorate at Stanford University and pursued postdoctoral research at Harvard University. This is a list of people who have served as the president of Pacific Union College (PUC), a Private university, private liberal arts college in California's Napa Valley. Twenty-four individuals have done so since the college's its founding in 1882 as Healdsburg Academy. The first eight presidents led the school while it was still located in Healdsburg, California, Healdsburg. The last of these was Lucas Reed, whose tenure ended in 1908, one year before the school moved to Angwin, California, Angwin. Charles Walter Irwin became the first person to be selected as president of Pacific Union College on its Angwin campus, where the college moved in 1909.
