Mick Molloy
Michael Molloy (born 11 July 1966) is an Australian comedian, writer, producer, actor and television and radio presenter who has been active in radio, television, stand-up and film. He currently hosts ''The Front Bar'' on the Seven Network. Life and career Early years Molloy grew up in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) before moving to Melbourne in the 1980s. He attended The Peninsula School during his high school period and then studied performing arts at the University of Melbourne, where he wrote and performed in his first live act in 1987. It was there he met the Australian comedy troupe The D-Generation (the future cast of ''The Late Show'') who later formed Working Dog Productions, and with whom Molloy would collaborate on several projects. Tough Love With Mick Molloy
''ToughLove'' was an Australian comedic radio talk program broadcast from Melbourne through the Triple M network from 12:00PM – 1:00PM AEST in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. It was hosted by long-time Australian comic, Mick Molloy and co-hosted by Robyn Butler and Mick's brother Richard Molloy aka 'Roo'. Panel operator Rosemary Walton was occasionally heard in the background laughing. In its first year (2004) the show ran for two hours (10:00AM – 12:00PM) and was also co-hosted by comedian/actor Alan Brough. During this time, a regular feature of the show was Robyn's fictional characters, including "Mrs. Yi" and "Rosita", however since the timeslot change, these characters appear to have been dropped. The show finished in 2006 when Mick Molloy decided to leave radio. Triple M is an Australian commercial radio network owned and operated by Southern Cross Austereo. The network consists of 40 radio stations broadcasting a mainstream rock music format and 5 digital radio stations. The network dates back to the launch of Triple M Sydney in 1980. On 15 December 2016, the network was amalgamated with the LocalWorks network of regional radio stations. History The first Triple M station was Triple M Sydney, which commenced broadcasting to Sydney on 2 August 1980. Triple M Sydney and then-rival 2Day FM were the first commercial FM radio stations in Sydney. ''Crackerjack'' is a 2002 Australian comedy film starring Mick Molloy, Bill Hunter, Frank Wilson, Monica Maughan, Samuel Johnson, Lois Ramsay, Bob Hornery, Judith Lucy, John Clarke and Denis Moore. Plot Jack Simpson is a wisecracking, directionless layabout who works at an inner city telemarketing firm. For years he has been a member at the Cityside Lawn Bowls Club (in fact he has three memberships), but he has never played a single game, having only joined to get the free parking spaces from which he makes extra cash by renting them to his workmates. But Cityside is in dire financial trouble and a greedy developer, Bernie Fowler, wants to turn it into a soulless pokies venue.
