Dick Miller
Richard Miller (December 25, 1928 – January 30, 2019) was an American character actor who appeared in more than 180 films, including many produced by Roger Corman. He later appeared in the films of directors who began their careers with Corman, including Joe Dante, James Cameron, and Martin Scorsese, with the distinction of appearing in every film directed by Dante. He was known for playing the beleaguered everyman, often in one-scene appearances. Richard Arthur Miller (July 23, 1960 – October 26, 2013) was a politician in the Canadian province of Alberta and former member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. He was elected on November 22, 2004 in the 26th Alberta general election in Edmonton Rutherford, defeating incumbent Progressive Conservative and former member of the House of Commons of Canada Ian McClelland. Miller served as opposition critic for two portfolios, the Treasury Board and Finance. He was also the chief opposition whip for the Alberta Liberal Party. He was defeated in the 2008 election by Progressive Conservative Fred Horne. In May 2005, Miller involved himself in the controversy surrounding the decision of then Conservative Belinda Stronach to cross the floor to the Liberals. Richard W. Miller (December 13, 1936 – October 16, 2013) was an American FBI agent who was the first FBI agent indicted for and convicted of espionage. In 1991, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison but was freed after serving fewer than three years. Personal life Richard William Miller was born in Wilmington, California, on December 13, 1936. He graduated from high school in Lynwood, California. He completed a two-year Mormon mission to Latino communities in Texas, and then attended Compton Junior College. He was a 1963 graduate of Brigham Young University, and a 20-year veteran of the FBI at the time of his arrest. Colleagues who knew Miller described him as "bumbling", "inept", and "lunchy". The last description referred to his unkempt appearance, and the fact that he often was observed with food crumbs and stains on his clothing. Richard Alan (Rick) Miller (born April 19, 1948) is an American former outfielder in Major League Baseball from 1971 to 1985. Miller attended Union High School (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and was a star athlete in the Grand Rapids City League. On September 4, 1971, Miller, at the age of 23, broke into the big leagues with the Boston Red Sox. He spent 12 of his 15 seasons as a member of the Boston Red Sox, he also played with the California Angels. Miller was an accomplished fielder who won a Gold Glove in 1978 for his play in center field. He was traded along with Carney Lansford and Mark Clear from the Angels to the Red Sox for Rick Burleson and Butch Hobson on December 10, 1980. In a 15-year career covering 1482 games, Miller compiled a .269 batting average (1046-for-3887) with 552 runs, 28 home runs and 369 RBI. Richard Edwin Miller (born September 4, 1951) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. Since the 1980s, he has worked as an instructor, coach, and manager in Minor League Baseball. Playing career Miller spent his playing career in the New York Mets organization. He graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School and West Chester State College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. He was the Mets' sixth pick in the 1973 Major League Baseball draft. As a player, he stood tall, weighed , batted left-handed and threw right-handed.
