Richard Jay-Alexander
Richard Jay-Alexander (born May 24, 1953) is an American Broadway producer and director. He served as Executive Director of the New York City office of producer Cameron Mackintosh for twelve years, known for productions including ''Les Misérables'', ''Cats'', ''The Phantom of the Opera,'' ''Miss Saigon'', ''Five Guys Named Moe'', ''Oliver!'' and ''Putting It Together.'' His directorial credits include the staging of ''For The Girls'' (2020) on Broadway starring Kristin Chenoweth, ''Porgy and Bess'' for the South Florida Symphony (2019), the concert versions of ''Les Miz'' (2008) and ''Guys and Dolls'' (2009), both at the Hollywood Bowl. Solvay, New York
Solvay is a village located in the town of Geddes, Onondaga County, New York, United States, and a suburb of the city of Syracuse. According to the 2010 census, the village had a total population of 6,584. The village is named after the Solvay brothers, Belgian inventors of the chemical process employed by the Solvay Process Company, formerly the major industry of the village. History The area was within the former Central New York Military Tract, but Solvay was in a location reserved for members of the Onondaga tribe. The village was initially founded in 1794 by James Geddes and was initially called "Geddesburgh." The first residents were mostly Irish, subsequently joined by Tyroleans and Poles. Amadeus (play)
''Amadeus'' is a play by Peter Shaffer which gives a fictional account of the lives of composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, first performed in 1979. It was inspired by Alexander Pushkin's short 1830 play '' Mozart and Salieri'', which Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov used in 1897 as the libretto for an opera of the same name. The play makes significant use of the music of Mozart, Salieri and other composers of the period. The premieres of Mozart's operas ''The Abduction from the Seraglio'', '' The Marriage of Figaro,'' '' Don Giovanni'', and ''The Magic Flute'' are the settings for key scenes. The Broadway Kids
The Broadway Kids was a concert group based in New York from 1994 to 2004. The group consisted of a rotating company of children, aged 8 to 16, who have performed in at least one Broadway, Off-Broadway or major national touring production. They performed concerts singing showtunes from various musicals, appearing at special events such as ''Broadway on Broadway,'' and have recorded five Broadway-centric CDs, one Christmas CD, and two Pop-centric CDs. The Broadway Kids have also appeared in the Off-Broadway show ''The Broadway Kids Sing Broadway,'' which has been produced in various theatres in New York and elsewhere. Well-Strung is an American string quartet based in New York City that is known for fusing classical music with modern pop music. The band was formed in 2012 by band member Chris Marchant and producer Mark Cortale. The band consists of four members, who all identify as gay: first violinist Edmund Bagnell, second violinist Christopher Marchant, cellist Daniel Shevlin, and violist Trevor Wadleigh. The Osmonds were an American family music group who reached the height of their fame in the early to mid-1970s.
