Richard Gore (died 1622) was an English merchant adventurer and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1604 to 1611. Life Gore was the son of Gerard Gore, an alderman of the City of London. He was auditor from 1601 to 1603. The House of Commons of England was the lower house of the Parliament of England (which incorporated Wales) from its development in the 14th century to the union of England and Scotland in 1707, when it was replaced by the House of Commons of Great Britain after the 1707 Act of Union was passed in both the English and Scottish parliaments at the time. Nicholas Fuller (lawyer)
Sir Nicholas Fuller (1543 – 23 February 1620) was an English barrister and Member of Parliament. After studying at Christ's College, Cambridge, Fuller became a barrister of Gray's Inn. His legal career there began prosperously—he was employed by the Privy Council to examine witnesses—but was hampered later by his representation of the Puritans, a religious tendency which did not conform with the established Church of England. Fuller was repeatedly in contention with the ecclesiastical courts, including the Star Chamber and Court of High Commission, and was once expelled for the zeal with which he defended his client. In 1593 he was returned as the Member of Parliament for St Mawes, where he campaigned against the extension of recusancy laws. Robert Bateman (1560 – 11 December 1644) was an English merchant and politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1614 and 1626. Bateman was the son of Richard Bateman of Hartington and his wife Ellen Topleyes, daughter of William Topleyes of Tissington Derbyshire. He was baptised at Hartington on 8 September 1561. He was an eminent merchant in the City of London and a member of the Worshipful Company of Skinners. In 1614, Bateman was elected Member of Parliament for Weymouth and Melcombe Regis in the Addled Parliament. He was a member of the committee of the East India Company from 1614 to 1619 and a City auditor from 1617 to 1619. In 1619 he became treasurer of the East India Company and retained the post until his death. He was master of the Skinners Company in 1620. In 1621, he was elected MP for City of London. Sir Thomas Lowe (died 11 April 1623) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1606 and 1622. He was an alderman of the City of London and became Lord Mayor of London in 1604. History and career Lowe was the son of Simon Lowe of Bromley Kent and his wife Margaret Lacey, daughter of Christopher Lacey of London. He was a member of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers. In 1594 he was Master of the Haberdashers Company and became an alderman of Billingsgate in 1594. He was Sheriff of the City of London in 1595. Henry Montagu, 1st Earl of Manchester (7 November 1642) was an English judge, politician and peer. Life He was the 3rd son of Edward Montagu of Boughton and grandson of Sir Edward Montagu, Lord Chief Justice of the King's Bench from 1539 to 1545, who was named by King Henry VIII one of the executors of his will, and governor to his son, Edward VI. John Croke
Sir John Croke (1553 – 23 January 1620) was an English judge and politician who served as Speaker of the English House of Commons between October and December 1601. He also served as Recorder of London, and won the City of London constituency in his election to the 1601 parliament, being the last Speaker before the death of Elizabeth I, in 1603. Life Croke was born in 1553. His father, also named John, was a knight and a member of Parliament representing the borough of Southampton in 1571, followed by another stint for the county of Buckinghamshire. His mother was named Elizabeth and was a daughter of Alexander Unton, also a knight. Croke spent the early part of his career as a lawyer. He entered the Inner Temple in 1570, and received a call to the bar shortly after, becoming a "distinguished member".
