Richard Fancy
Richard Ronald Fancy (born August 2, 1943) is an American actor and comedian known for his long recurring role on ''Seinfeld'' as publisher Mr. Lippman, Elaine Benes's employer. Early life Fancy was born August 2, 1943, in Evanston, Illinois, to salesman Raymond Chester Fancy and a radio performer mother. Fancy is named after his paternal grandmother, Magdelene Richard. Career Fancy appeared on the third and fourth seasons of ''It's Garry Shandling's Show'' as network boss Mr. Stravely. He also plays the priest in the 1991 film ''What About Bob?'' and was Kevin Arnold's high school principal, Dr. Valenti, in the fourth and fifth seasons of ''The Wonder Years''. ''True Believer'' (also released as ''Fighting Justice'') is a 1989 American courtroom drama written by Wesley Strick, directed by Joseph Ruben, and starring James Woods, Robert Downey Jr., Yuji Okumoto, Margaret Colin, and Kurtwood Smith. ''Touch'' is a 1997 film written and directed by Paul Schrader. It is based on a 1987 novel by Elmore Leonard. The film, which has elements of drama and black comedy, stars Christopher Walken, Richard Schiff, Bridget Fonda, Skeet Ulrich, Tom Arnold, Gina Gershon, Lolita Davidovich, Janeane Garofalo and Paul Mazursky. Melvin Robert Laird Jr. (September 1, 1922 – November 16, 2016) was an American politician, writer and statesman. He was a U.S. congressman from Wisconsin from 1953 to 1969 before serving as Secretary of Defense from 1969 to 1973 under President Richard Nixon.
