Jack Richard Face (2 December 1942 – 1 August 2023) was an Australian politician who was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly between 1972 and 2003. Biography Jack Richard Face was born in the Newcastle suburb of Merewether and educated at Merewether Public School, Broadmeadow High School, Newcastle Technical College and the New South Wales Police Academy. Face was the Labor member for Charlestown from 1972 to 2003. Independent Commission Against Corruption (New South Wales)
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is an agency of the Government of New South Wales responsible for eliminating and investigating corrupt activities and enhancing the integrity of the state's public administration. The Commission was established in 1989, pursuant to the , modeled after the ICAC in Hong Kong. It is led by a Chief Commissioner appointed for a fixed five-year term; and two part-time Commissioners. Then-NSW Premier Mike Baird suggested in November 2016 his desire to move from a sole Commissioner to a three-commissioner system, however this was strongly criticised by two former ICAC commissioners as weakening and politicising the organisation, leading to the resignation of then-Commissioner Megan Latham. New South Wales Police College
The New South Wales Police Force Academy, the sole provider of police training and education to probationary constables of the New South Wales Police Force, is located at the city of Goulburn in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. Recruits undertaking studies at the Academy are referred to as Policing Students and adhere to their own Policing Student Honour Code. The Academy has significantly expanded the facilities and buildings in use and has a new site located on the Taralga Road which is used for police driver training purposes. The Australian Labor Party (New South Wales Branch), also known as NSW Labor, is the New South Wales branch of the Australian Labor Party.
