Richard Carter (American Football)
Richard A. Carter (February 21, 1919 – April 22, 2002) was an American football and basketball coach. He served as the head football coach at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, first as a junior college coach from 1947 to 1956 and then transitioning the program to a four-year, varsity unit beginning in 1957 until 1959. The Graceland Yellowjackets are the athletic teams that represent Graceland University, located in Lamoni, Iowa, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) since the 1971–72 academic year. 1958 NAIA Football Season
The 1958 NAIA football season was the third season of college football sponsored by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The season was played from August to December 1958, culminating in the third annual NAIA Football National Championship, played this year again at Stewart Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. During its four years in St. Petersburg, the game was called the Holiday Bowl. Graceland Yellowjackets Football Coaches
Graceland is a mansion on a estate in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, which was once owned by rock and roll icon Elvis Presley. His daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, inherited Graceland after his death in 1977. Graceland is located at 3764 Elvis Presley Boulevard in the Whitehaven neighborhood, about south of central Memphis and fewer than north of the Mississippi border. It was opened to the public as a house museum on June 7, 1982. The site was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on November 7, 1991, becoming its first site recognized for significance related to rock music.
