Richard C. Harding is an American retired lieutenant general who served as the Judge Advocate General of the United States Air Force. By federal statute, he served as the legal adviser to the Secretary of the Air Force, the Air Force Chief of Staff, and all officers subordinate to them. In the United States Armed Forces, a lieutenant general is a three-star general officer in the United States Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force. A lieutenant general ranks above a major general and below a general. The pay grade of lieutenant general is O-9.
