Richard Bloom
Richard Hershel Bloom (born June 22, 1953) is an American attorney and politician who served as a member of the California State Assembly from the 50th district, which encompasses West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Agoura Hills, Malibu, Topanga, Pacific Palisades, Bel Air, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hancock Park, and Hollywood, from 2012 to 2022. Bloom was a member of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus. Prior to being elected to the Assembly in 2012, he served as mayor of Santa Monica and previously on the Santa Monica City Council for 13 years. Early life and education Bloom was born to a Jewish family and raised in Altadena and West Los Angeles. Betsy Butler
Betsy Butler (born June 14, 1963) is an American politician who served in the California State Assembly. She is a Democrat. Butler is the Executive Director of the Women's Law Center. She serves as Chair of the California Commission on Aging, appointed in 2015 by the President pro tempore of the California State Senate Kevin de León, and elected chair in 2018 and again in 2019. She also serves on the Los Angeles County Probation Commission, appointed by Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis in 2016. Brentwood is a suburban neighborhood in the Los Angeles Westside, Westside region of Los Angeles. History General Modern development began after the establishment of the Sawtelle Veterans Home, Pacific Branch of the National Home for Disabled Soldiers and Sailors in the 1880s.
